Skip died on January 6, 2020.  Here is his obituary.

Skip has also written a short book Shoes for John, which can be bought from the Montogomery County Historical Society at Fort Johnson or from Fort Klock.

 

 Skip was one of the founders of Fort Klock Restoration, the organization that maintains the complex.  In recognition of this he was awarded the National Historic Preservation Medal by the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.  The occasion is described in the July 2008 Issue 84 of Klock Connections.
